Korn has released the video for their song "Spike in My Veins" off their latest album The Paradigm Shift. In the clip, the band attacks the government for invasion of privacy as well as the media for information overload and celebrity obsession. "We are all so caught up in watching crazy media on the internet and TV that we are manipulated into ignoring that our privacy has all but disappeared," Korn's Jonathan Davis told Rolling Stone.
The video begins in a room filled with TV monitors as a montage of news segments reporting data surveillance plays on the screen then cuts to footage of Justin Bieber's arrest. They play on the idea of whether news is news or just entertainment though footage of President Obama walking up to give a speech, spliced it with him on Fallon. They also include images of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Governor Chris Christie, Miley Cyrus, Toronto mauor Rob Ford and more.
The Paradigm Shift is out now. The band begins their world tour at the end of the month in Australia. Check out the video for "Spike in My Veins" here, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
