If you've ever been to Hangout Music Festival, you know that the Thursday night pre-party is pretty much just as important as the festival itself. It really turns the three-day festival into a four-day festival for those who get in town early enough.This year, Hangout will kick off the pre-party on May 15, with Girl Talk, Iron and Wine, Danny Brown, Wolfmother, Bombay Bicycle Club and Dumpstaphunk plus a DJ set from Bonobo.
Tickets are available on the festival's website for $40. Fans who have already purchased three-day passes will be able to buy the pre-party ticket at a discount. They will receive an email with instructions on how to do so. The party is free for VIP and Super VIP ticket holders.
The festival itself takes place May 16-18 in Gulf Shores, AL. The lineup features OutKast, The Black Keys, The Killers, Queens of the Stone Age, Modest Mouse, The Avett Brothers, The Flaming Lips, Childish Gambino, Jack Johnson and more. Check out the full lineup here.
