Yesterday, A$AP Rocky fans had a field day after the A.L.L.A. rapper was quoted in an interview as saying he was working on a mixtape with Rod Stewart titled Born To Be Pretty. It was described as "definitely a panty-dropper" and was expected to be released sometime his summer. After the psychedelic nature of At.Long.Last.A$AP and the collaboration between Rocky and Stewart on "Everyday" with Mark Ronson and Miguel, this almost seemed plausible. However, the "LSD" rapper took to Twitter today to clear some things up and say that it was all just a joke.
In an interview with Vulture, Rocky made the joke, saying he has "some rock-star s*t in the works." As disappointing this news is that we won't be blessed with a full Stewart and A$AP Rocky mixtape, the Harlem rapper has more music in the works. He announced on Twitter he has a project titled Cozy Tapes Vol.1 coming ASAP. He adds "RIP YAM$" at the end, which could mean this is the unfinished project from the A$AP Mob founder that Rocky says he is working on finishing and getting out to the world.
Maybe on this mixtape, Rod Stewart and Lenny Kravtiz will make a guest appearance for something a little rock-oriented.
