Wilco's Jeff Tweedy to stop by 'Parks and Recreation' in spring

Pawnee, Ind., is about to get a taste of Wilco. Today (Feb. 7), it was announced that the Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy will stop by the town of Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson for a guest appearance this spring.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Tweedy will play the former lead singer of local legendary rock band Land Ho!, a group that suffered "an ugly breakup" on an upcoming episode of Parks and Recreation. As she is apt to do, Amy Poehler's Leslie Knope alongside Christ Pratt's Andy Dwyer ignores all reason as she tries to get the band back together for a "unity concert" to help celebrate the recent merger of Pawnee and Eagleton.

The episode is sure to feature some new music from Tweedy, but we can really just hope for an awesome cover of Mouse Rat's "Sex Hair."

The episode has yet to receive an official premiere date, though it is aimed for early spring.

This will be Tweedy's first live-action acting role, though it won't be Parks and Rec's first famous guest star. Parker Posey, Megan Mullaly, Nick Kroll and Andy Samberg have all stopped by Pawnee at one time or another.
