As Oxygen prepares for the season two premiere of Sisterhood of Hip-Hop, Diamond of Crime Mob recently discussed the returning reality series.
The Atlanta rapstress revealed to Hip-HopDX that she was in the studio when she got the news about a second season.
"I don't mean to toot my own horn but I was feeling positive and confident about getting a season two because of how it was set up, and how we were so open and real," Diamond said. "If anybody appreciates hip-hop or women empowerment they would've wanted to hear more, or get more into it. We showed just enough to spark interest to get people to say, 'Alright, we're going to give these girls a chance.'"
Sisterhood of Hip-Hop premiered last August with a debut episode that captured 811,000 viewers. The series broke the record for the most watched Oxygen debut at that time.
Season two is expected to feature over 20 guest appearances from across the music industry. The show will reportedly focus more on the cast's music.
The returning cast includes Siya, Brianna Perry, Bia and Nyemiah Supreme. T.I. executive produced the series.
Sisterhood Of Hip-Hop Season 2 airs on Tuesday, June 9.

In 2014, Oxygen made the decision to ditch its "Live Out Loud" branding and shift to target "modern, young women."
"The combination of Oxygen's current momentum and upcoming rebrand will fully cement the network's position with young female viewers," Frances Berwick, president of Bravo and Oxygen said. "This new slate of originals will deliver on the freshness, authenticity, high emotional stakes and optimism that this demographic is looking for."
