With less than 24 hours until the release of arguably the most highly anticipated album of the year, Jay-Z and Samsung continues to release more Magna Carta Holy Grail teasers. After releasing videos and the lyrics for a majority of the songs on the album, Jigga has now released the album cover and a possible finalized updated tracklist.
After releasing his Magna Carta Holy Grail app last night (download here), Jay-Z previews the lyric sheet for "Holy Grail," featuring Justin Timberlake. "Holy Grail," was rumored to be released June 25, however it never came out. But thanks to Miss Info TV, in additon to the Holy Grail lyrics, a video of the official tracklist has surfaced as well.
Jay-Z posted the official MCHG artwork on his website Life + Times along with this message:
Located in the United Kingdom, The Salisbury Cathedral, home to one of the four surviving original 1215 Magna Carta documents, has become the site which debuted JAY Z's Magna Carta... Holy Grail album cover art. The installation will be on display at the Salisbury Cathedral Chapter House through the month of July. See the installation below.
JAY Z's new album Magna Carta... Holy Grail will be available early to eligible Samsung users who have downloaded the #magnacarta app at 12:01 am EST on Thursday, July 4th. [Click here to download the app.] The album will be released globally on July 9th.
Jay-Z is going down in history with this one. We also reported yesterday that he inspired the RIAA to change the rules. The RIAA amended the rules, which surround digital album sales. Previously albums had to wait 30 days before they could be considered for gold, or platinum status, however with Jay-Z changing the game in digital sales, the RIAA has decided to follow suit with Hov's progressive advances. Thus, Magna Carta Holy Grail will be the first album in history to go platinum before its public release.
