Beyonce's spokesperson has denied the 'absurd' rumors claiming an affair with Barack Obama

The rumor mill has been working at full speed when it comes to the alleged affair between Beyonce and President Barack Obama. Yes, they have been friends for many years, but these claims forced Beyonce's reps to speak out.

A spokesperson for the singer said that the affair claims were "absurd," according to Metro.

Pascal Rostain created the commotion on the Europe 1 radio station by saying: "There is something big that is happening... it'll go out tomorrow in the Washington Post." He added that Beyonce and Obama were conducting a secret affair, he said: "I can assure you the world will be talking about it."

As far as the Washington Post is concerned, a spokeswoman, Kris Coratti, denied the claims made by Rostain and added that Beyonce and President Obama have been friends for a number of years. "It's kind of crazy how fast these rumors spread," she said.

Metro reported that Rostain has now claimed that the whole thing was a joke. Quite a joke when it attracts this much attention and publicity.

Back in 2012, the U.S. President acknowledged his friendship with Beyonce and Jay Z and how they have spent time with the family:

"I've gotten to know these guys over the first several years. They're good people. Beyoncé could not be sweeter to Michelle and the girls. So they're good friends. We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends."

This looks to be like a pretty easy gag, considering there are photos with Beyonce and Obama together in the past. If that were all it took, there would be many more alleged affairs going on in the spotlight.
