Zayn Malik Leaked 'No Type' Cover Sparks Feud Between Naughty Boy, Rapper Mic Righteous

There's a new war of words brewing between Naughty Boy and Mic Righteous over that leaked demo of former One Direction member Zayn Malik singing Rae Srummerd's "No Type." After Naughty Boy claimed that Righteous stole the music from his hard drive, the independent rapper is speaking out.

After posting the new version of "No Type" on Soundcloud, Righteous revealed that Malik is not allowed to release any solo material for two years and that he finally dropped the collaboration to prove his own independence.

"Iv held back on so much music, cos I was afraid of burning bridges with labels because getting signed was a option for me then, thats why i haven't released music for the last 18 months.

"Now as soon as majors are involved (whether ur in or out of a deal) it all becomes long, you end up waiting and waiting for something that may never happen.

"I got fed up of waiting And took matters into my own hands regardless of repercussions, leaking that song with Zayn was a way for me to set the fact that I'm doing this independently in stone," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Righteous's comments arrived online after Naughty Boy threw him under the proverbial bus, claiming that the demo version of "No Type" has been stolen from his hard drive, a claim that Righteous dismisses.

As for his involvement, Malik has mostly been playing quiet on Twitter while his producer friend and Righteous battle it out online.
