In May, Jill Scott released her soulful single "Fool's Gold," but more recently, she announced the release of her new album Woman.
According to Vibe, the album, executive produced by Scott and longtime collaborators Aaron Pearce and Andre Harris, will make its way to iTunes on July 24. Scott's earlier buzz track "You Don't Know" will also appear on the album. Since its release, "Fool's Gold" has been steadily climbing Billboard's Adult R&B Songs chart. The song earned Scott her 13th top 10 on Adult R&B single to date.
The "Golden" songbird's last album, 2011's The Light of the Sun, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
"Fans have patiently waited four years for new music. When they hear Jill perform live this summer ... it'll be worth the wait," Shawn Gee, Scott's longtime business partner, said in a statement.
Scott is also gearing up to release her new greatest hits album Golden Moments. She recently released a ballad entitled "I Adore You" from her vault of previously unreleased music.
Golden Moments will cover her decade with the Hidden Beach music label (2000-2009) and celebrate the 15-year anniversary of her debut album, Who is Jill Scott. The sixteen track compilation will also feature digitally remastered fan favorites, including "Gettin' in the Way" and "Jilltro."
Jill Scott will hit the road this summer her 25-date headline tour, which kicks off on July 13 in Pittsburgh. The tour will also makes stops in Atlanta, Nashville, Houston and Baltimore.
