On July 16 at 8:00 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Seth MacFarlane will bring his smooth talents to Baltimore with conductor Joel McNeely and the Baltimore Symhony Orcestra for an evening of music and comedy.
According to the BSO, fans and orchestral patrons alike will be able to experience funny man MacFarlane like never before. The Family Guy-creating, Oscar-hosting, Grammy-nominated MacFarlane will bring his smooth singing talents and irreverant humor to Baltimore in a performance highlighting his love of Big Band and American Songbook standards with the BSO.
The BSO and Baltimore, itself, is billing the performance as An Evening With Seth MacFarlane and the BSO. The MacFarlane special is only one in a long list of performances presented by the BSO to provide a brief respite from the sizzling Baltimore heat in its 2015 summer series. According to the Baltimore Sun, the action begins with a Fourth of July salute at Oregon Ridge, followed by an eveing of music with two greatest-hits classical programs at Meyerhoff. Other special performances following MacFarlane's include BSO concertmaster Jonathan Carney leading performances of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons on a program that also includes portions of Handel's Water Music on July 23.
