A few weeks ago, we reported the news that Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend and former Playboy Bunny, Holly Madison, was set to expose some juicy Playboy Mansion secrets in her tell-all book, Down the Rabbit Hole. The highly-anticipated book hit the stands three days ago and Hugh Hefner and ex-Playboy Bunny, Kendra Wilkinson, have a bone to pick with Madison.
In the book, the former Girls Next Door star tells her truth about life as Hugh Hefner's main girlfriend. According to Madison, behind all the glitz, glam and bunny ears, laid the harsh realities of depression, manipulation and drama. She talks about Hefner's drug use and described sex with him as the most "disconnected experience." In fact, she claims she even contemplated suicide while in the infamous mansion.
Hugh Hefner broke his silence and made a statement to E! News claiming that Holly Madison was just doing this to remain socially relevant. He stated, "Over the course of my life I've had more than my fair share of romantic relationships with wonderful women. Many moved on to live happy, healthy and productive lives, and I'm pleased to say remain dear friends today. Sadly, there are a few who have chosen to rewrite history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight."
Another one of Hefner's ex-girlfriends, Kendra Wilkinson, came to his defense and said that Holly Madison is just defaming Hefner's character out of revenge, claiming that she had ulterior motives all along. Kendra told People, "Holly, you can tell, had this ulterior motive every minute being at the Mansion, and that motive was - it was clear as day - she wanted Hef's kids, she wanted a piece of Playboy and she wanted to marry Hef for, obviously, his will."
Even with both Hefner and Wilkinson against her, Madison is standing by her word. Earlier this week, she went on the Wendy Williams Show and said she didn't write this book to be spiteful to Hefner, but rather to be helpful to other women. She told Wendy Williams, "I wrote the book not because I had an axe to grind, or because I wanted any kind of reaction from [Hugh Hefner]... I just wanted to tell my story and hopefully inspire other women if they're in a bad relationship or bad situation to move on and not feel branded by a choice they've made or a person they're known to be with."
Do you sympathize with Holly Madison's story or do you, like Hugh Hefner and Kendra Wilkinson, think she's just out to create a buzz? Check out the interview below and let us know what you think!
