Following their freshly released teaser tracks, Brand New have informed long-awaiting fans that their fifth studio LP could drop by the end of 2015.
In April, the Long Island natives released their first studio recording in six years titled "Mene" with "Sealed To Me" quickly trailing. In an interview with Spanish magazine RockZone, Jesse Lacey, Vincent Accardi, Brian Lane, and Garrett Tierney brought rumors to light, disclosing that they're in the works of their fifth album. Lacey divulged that the LP is "not ready" yet but that "hopefully it will come out this year," notes NME. He continued, "We don't know whether it will be an EP of seven songs or so, or the traditional LP of 14 songs. We have many songs that we've been working".
Fans flocked to Reddit in order to translate the Spanish interview and crack the code on the latest Brand New updates. "Yes, I have no problem talking about this with you. You're the first person with whom I have an interview in a while. We have a new album to get. There is no secret. The thing is that it is not ready, so to speak. Hopefully it [will be] out this year, at least that is our aim. We do not know whether it will be an EP of seven songs or so, or the traditional LP of 14 songs. We have many songs that we've been working, but hey, I guess sometimes you have to face what you have steeping a little, as I said before. Is something that we have to adapt, one day seems that we will get and the next we were a little farther out," Lacey told RockZone according to Alternative Press.
Ready to introduce the album with open arms and ears, fans can only expect the latest album to be a triumph alongside its preceding LP's of 2009's Daisy, 2006's The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, 2003's sophomore album Deja Entendu and their 2001 debut album Your Favorite Weapon.
Aside from spending time in the studio, the alternative rock band has commanded the stage for a series of UK shows across Birmingham, London, Glasgow and Manchester in June-returning for a tour in September. On August 15 and 16, Brand New will head out to play two dates at Ommegang Brewery in which they'll debut the first ever Brand New beer.
Brand New to play:
Manchester, Albert Hall (September 10)
London, Alexandra Palace (11)
Middlesbrough, Empire (20)
Edinburgh, Usher Hall (21)
Dublin, Vicar Street (22)
