"Drunk In Love" was one of the biggest hits on Beyoncé's surprise self-titled album. Future and Angel Haze have already offered their takes on the track, and now the power couple's friend Kanye West has thrown down his own remix as well.
The "Drunk In Love" remix is West's first piece of new music since last summer's release of Yeezus. West and frequent collaborator Mike Dean reworked the beat on the Detail-produced track. The intro has also been swapped out for Danyél Waro's "Mandela," an homage to the late Nelson Mandela sung in Creole.
West raps, "Woo! You will never need another lover / Woo! Cause you a milk and I'm a motherf**ker / Told you give the drummer some, now the drummer comin' / I'm pa rum pa pum pumin' all on your stomach."
He talks about his relationship with Kim Kardashian saying, "I don't know the way you do it / but you do it to me though/ And you always told your girlfriends you need a TV show / Now you got your own money / you don't need nobody else / But far as hell with all that ass / I think you gon' need some help."
We also get a "Bound 2" reference: "You ain't on site then you on Skype / I put you on that bike, you bound, girl."
This isn't the first time we've seen Jay Z and Kanye on the same track, but this also isn't the first time 'Ye has hopped on a Beyoncé song. Back in 2009, the Chicago rapper was featured on her track "Ego."
The song first premiered on Angie Martinez of Hot 97's newly launched website. Check out the track here, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
