Meek Mill Denies Rumors That He Got Minaj's Ex, Safaree, Banned from BET Awards

Rumors went flying when Nicki Minaj's ex, Safaree Samuels, tweeted that BET had banned him from the BET Awards. Many automatically assumed that Nicki Minaj's new love interest, Meek Mill, got Safaree banned from the awards in order to avoid an awkward run-in. But Meek Mill is putting a stop to all those accusations.

On the day of the BET Awards, Safaree sent out tweet that seemed to allude that someone had contacted BET to get him banned deliberately. He tweeted, "So BET told my publicist I'm 'Banned' from BET red carpet, hmmm wonder why... dnt recall a situation occurring with them but hey #itiswhatitis."

While Safaree didn't point fingers at anyone in particular, accusations came about that Meek Mill was the one that got Nicki's former boyfriend banned from the event. Yesterday Meek had an interview on Shade 45's Sway in the Morning radio show and used that time to clear up rumors that he had any part in Safaree getting banned. He asked about he said it had nothing to do with him and that Safaree has never been invited to the BET Awards without Nicki. He said, "I don't get people banned. That's like calling the cops and we don't call the cops. What we have to get him banned from the BET Awards for? He ain't never been to the BET Awards by himself. I don't even think he was invited. I don't really like those accusations. [Nicki] asked me, like he said I did it. I don't get people banned."

The DWMTM rapper also opened up about his relationship with Nicki Minaj and how it came to be. He said he's been plotting on making Nicki his dream girl since five years ago. He states, "She has the total package. My standards, that I always set high for myself, is a girl with the total package. Ain't been ran down by a bunch of [men]. A girl that's about her own business. Pretty. A boss."

Take a look at the interview below as he talks more about their relationship.
