It's officially Shark Week 2015, and there has been no bigger shark this year than Katy Perry's no infamous Super Bowl XLIX halftime show sea creature, the "Left Shark." To help celebrate the most dangerous and fun-filled event of the year, the "Dark Horse" singer has release an official phone case featuring her uncoordinated costumed dancer.
In a tweet sent out yesterday (July 7), Perry announced that her accessories line at Claire's will now include a "Left Shark" phone case. The bejeweled line will feature the signature light blue fish looking just a little put of it. He's backed by a glittery silver background.
Perry's "Left Shark" phone case has yet to be made available on Claire's website along with the rest of her accessories; the case does not seem to have an official street date.
The release of Perry's "Left Shark" phone case marks the first product in her line that bears the likeness of her runaway Super Bowl mascot, who happened to miss some of the choreography while the "Right Shark" seemed more in line with Perry's dancing.
Before releasing her own "Left Shark" merchandise, Perry got litigious with those who used the shark's likeness for profit. Notably, Perry and her legal team sent a cease-and-desist to artist Fernando Sosa, who was selling 3D printed statues of "Left Shark." In April, Perry attempted to trademark the likeness of her "Left Shark" but was denied due to inconsistencies in her application.
