Last week, OG Maco sent #FutureHive into an uproar when the "U Guessed It" rapper tweeted that Future has destroyed lives by making it cool to be a drug addict. Future responded during a recent interview.
Following Maco's comments denouncing his music, Future addressed the situation while being interviewed by Marc Lamont Hill for HuffPostLive. Initially, the "Commas" rapper made light of the accusation saying, "He need to rap about whatever he rap about. Church Bible verses, whatever, and then he won't have an opinion on hip-hop."
Hill then decided to take a more serious approach asking Future if he ever thinks about how his music affects others. He responded naming the youth as his inspiration.
"The young people inspire me, some things that I say and some things that I do just because it's a generation of change. I don't feel like I'm destroying no lives. Everyone have their own choice about how they want to live."
The interview did, however, revert back to Maco with Future offering up a warning to his fellow Atlanta rapper.
"OG Maco, he goin' have to respond," he said. "He goin' have to see me about this. When I see him, he going have to tell me to my face. All that Twitter stuff, I'm not with that. I'm one hundred percent, a thousand percent. So if he can say it on Twitter, when I see him, I'mma see him and if he don't say nothing I'm not going even respect him but if he say that in my face, he ain't going get the response I'm saying right now. I promise you."
Soon thereafter the newbie XXL Freshman took to Twitter to clear things up and promote his latest releases.
In his initial tweets, OG Maco criticized the lack of individuality and prominence of weak mindedness among his peers. He also went on to call out the fake Future fans and called him one of his favorite artists of all time.
