Police heard gunfire and soon found Martin and another male fleeing the scene each with a firearm in hand. While being chased, Martin allegedly pointed his weapon in the police's direction but didn't fire, while the other suspect shot a few rounds. Police fired back, though no one was hit. Martin has pled not guilty to all charges (see below) placed against him.
After firing, police soon apprehended both suspects and confiscated a .22 caliber pistol from Martin.
According to TMZ, Martin has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm and two counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon.
As stated above, he has pled not guilty to all charges. There is no word yet on the second man's charges.
Martin's mother has told TMZ that she plans to pay his bail, which has been set at $35,000.
