Pitbull has some more words Donald Trump and this time, in his native Spanish, he didn't hold back.
Last night, Pitbull took home the award for Top Urban Artist at the 2015 Premios Juventud Awards. The ceremony took place in Pitbull's hometown of Miami and was hosted by the Spanish language network Univision, which recently decided not to stream the Trump-produced Miss Universe Pageant due to the GOP candidate's controversial remarks on Mexican immigrants.
Pitbull took the podium an gave a fiery acceptance speech, thanking the Hispanic community -- "the culture that I ride, I die for," he stated in a recent interview. He then turned his attention to said culture's number one enemy at the moment: Mr. Trump.
He named three other leading presidential candidates, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and Hillary Clinton, and urged them to knock Trump out of the race. He then ended his speech with some controversial remarks of his own, telling Trump (in Spanish) to "watch out for El Chapo," the feared Mexican drug lord who recently escaped a maximum-security prison for the second time.
Earlier this week, a unverified Twitter account (with over 490k followers) purporting to belong to El Chapo, sent out a threatening (since-deleted) tweet to Trump's official handle, telling him, "Keep f*cking around and I'm going to make you eat your f*cking words" (translated from Spanish).
The tweet was enough to scare Trump into contacting the FBI. With his latest remarks, Pitbull wanted to strike a little more fear into the redheaded billionaire's heart.
When Pitbull was first asked about Trump, a week ago, he was more benign with his words, calling the business mogul "far from ignorant" -- instead saying he failed to understand the "power of Latinos." Since, the "Fun" singer hasn't warmed up to Trump one bit.
Pitbull's latest album, Dale, his first Spanish album in five years, was released today (July 17). Check it out on iTunes.
