Lily Allen's new album title mocks Kanye West... introducing 'Sheezus'

Lily Allen is not done making a statement. After releasing the patriarchy-smashing single "Hard Out Here" last year and the poppy but oddball "Air Balloon" last month, the British pop star has finally unveiled the title of her new album, and it's not going to make Kanye West feel good. Allen's third LP is going to be called... Sheezus.

According to Digital Spy, Allen made the album title announcement on tonight's (Feb. 21) upcoming episode of The Graham Norton Show. "It's a confident choice, and a little nod to Kanye West," she told the talk show host.

Though Allen claims it's a nod to West's 2013 album Yeezus, it's hard to believe her album title isn't somehow mocking the oftentimes self-absorbed rapper.

However, this isn't her first snarkily titled record. Her last effort, 2009's It's Not Me, It's You also obviously has a bit of a bite to it.

Allen's Sheezus has yet to receive an official release date or tracklisting, though it is reportedly due out sometime this year.

What songs will be included on the album, though? "Hard Out Here" and "Air Balloon" have both been confirmed as singles, and Digital Spy reports her Girls soundtrack single "L8 CMMR" may also be included.

Sheezus marks Allen's return to music after a several year hiatus, wherein the singer got married and had two children. It will be her first album in five years and her third record overall.
