Rapper J. Cole has had an impressive last 12 months in his career. His third album, Forest Hills, went platinum upon him becoming a co-owner in Tidal. Then there was the impressive feat of selling over 350K units in its first opening week back in December with no features. Although the St. Johns alum has been on an upswing in his career, he definitely took an "L" over the weekend when he got hit by an iPhone during a show on one of his tour stops. Cold World.
Cole took the stage this past Friday (July17th) in San Diego and got an unexpected surprise when performing his hit, "Power Trip." A concertgoer's phone hit him smack dab in the face.
The whole incident, naturally, could have gone in a multitude of different ways. However, fortunately for fans, Cole took it in stride and after regaining his composure, he kept right along with his performance and actually tucked the fans phone into his back pocket. (It doesn't look like that fan should expect their phone back anytime soon.)
Luckily for fans, there's still plenty of time to catch the rapper who recently signed on to be a designer for Bally's men line. Check out remaining tour dates and watch clip below.
