Taylor Swift and Lorde are hanging out again, and the world is standing by to see what happens when two young, superstar music acts come together. Celebuzz captured a whole slew of photographs of the young ladies shopping in West Hollywood this past weekend. Though the paparazzi must've been tracking their every move from Rag and Bone to Free People, the two seemed to be unbothered by the lack of privacy. They were all smiles checking out boots and hats, going about their day as usual.
Gossip Cop has documented their meet-ups from Shake Shake in November to Swift's 24th birthday in December, when the two were hugging in a big group shot. The girls are clearly not trying to keep the friendship a secret. Just last month Taylor Swift tweeted a picture of them embracing with the caption, "And you know... We're on each other's team. #LORDE #CLEANINGUP #GRAMMYs pic.twitter.com/jRwHkPYfPE." The allusion to Lorde's song "Team" shows their support for each other on multiple levels. Each time a post like this goes up, there's a deluge of comments from fans praising their looks, friendship and talent.
It isn't rare for Swift to form friendships with other influential young women in the entertainment industry. The same day of the Grammys, Girls' creator Lena Dunham tweeted, "I only have the energy and passion to stay up for Taylor." Their admiration of one another is both a positive and public display.
Just yesterday, Swift posted the above beach instagram photograph with 17-year-old Lorde saying, "Bare feet in the sand on a Saturday..."
Seeing that breezy photograph of girls just having fun makes you think for a second, they're 'just like us.' Then you see that one photo has over 700,000 likes, and the two musicians have singlehandedly changed the face of pop music around the world today.
Swift is currently working on new material. Could you see a music collaboration in their future, or do you think this relationship is staying strictly personal, more so than professional?
