It seems as though Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert's shocking divorce may have been amicable, after all. Though rumors of infidelity and "living separate lives" have surrounded the country duo, the two still seem more than friendly with each other. Today (July 24), four days after the separation news broke, the two tweeted each other, joking about mutual friend Ashley Monroe's new album.
Shelton reached out to Lambert on Twitter earlier this afternoon, simultaneously promoting his friend's new album and shutting down rumors that he and Lambert were on unfriendly terms.
And Lambert has responded in kind, telling Shelton that she cannot believe that people have yet to purchase Monroe's album, The Blade.
The two also joked about their divorce, poking fun at pregnancy rumors and feuds that have surrounded them this work. So it seems as though those wounds aren't so fresh after all.
Shelton also fired back at fans who criticized his and Lambert's tweets to each other, dismissing the fact that they were pre-scheduled before the divorce news and not caring about the promotion of Monroe's album.
Lambert and Shelton announced their divorce on Monday after four years of marriage.
