Iggy Azalea's forthcoming album The New Classic has seen a slew of release dates that have come and gone. So no guarantees with regard to the current April 14 date. Two things have been made for sure however: the album art and supporting tour have been released. And those things are lot more difficult to shake up.
First, the album art: Azalea is featured on the cover, looking about halfway Gaga as we've come to expect, wearing a pop-cubist pantsuit on the lawn of a pink house. An old-Hollywood typeface spells out the album's title.
That's about all we have to say about that.
The tour is where things really start to get exciting, as the performer will travel North America for a month throughout April and May. The first date will be April 23, which also lends credibility to the fact that New Classic will indeed come out on April 14. Plus, Azalea promised a March 4 pre-order date for the album. Of course, Azalea hasn't given any venues as of yet for the tour, so you'll just have to hope they come through. The rapper is currently playing a few festival dates in Europe. No openers have been listed either, but Azalea has been advertising a forthcoming single featuring Charlie XCX. That'd be an impressive lineup if she could get it.
