During the 6th Annual OVO Fest, it was pretty apparent the "6 god's" reign over his opponent Meek Mill would not be letting up anytime soon. Drake went to very great lengths yesterday to demonstrate to Mill why you should never pick a fight with a sleeping giant. Not only did the "Back to Back" rapper ridicule him to the point of no return when he took to the stage last night using dozens of Twitter memes to cheer the crowds on at his expense, but there were at least five times throughout OVO Fest where Mill was the butt of a joke.
Over the past few days, Mill has learned what it is like to get heat from all different angles. It all started last week when he dropped his own diss response taking aim at Drake, "Wanna Know", which did not get a warm reception from listeners.
The jokes started when Drake, a.k.a. "Champagne Papi," took to Instagram to model his World Champion Sound ring, which definitely resembled a sports championship ring. Why would Drake need this exactly? TMZ reported that Drake ordered the ring way before his bout with Mill to celebrate the success of his OVO Sound label.
However, leave it to Twitter fans to run with their own conclusions which is exactly what they did.
Secondly, lets not forget about how when Drake was readying his performance for the last night of the OVO Fest, the "Back to Back" rapper was definitely in a trolling mood, as he was seen sporting his rival on a "Free Meek Mill" t-shirt. Ha, Drake is definitely not big on showing good sportsmanship.
Thirdly, his Power Point presentation ripping his competition Mill to shreds while he performed "Charged Up," "Back to Back" and even previewed a third diss track taking aim at Mill called "3Peat". This made it clear to fans that while Drake didn't start the beef with Mill, he was definitely looking to finish it.
After Drake finished his killer performance, he and superstar cohorts, Kanye West and Will Smith, also had a hearty chuckle at Mill's expense backstage. Mill's fellow Philly native, Smith, seemed to take a real liking to Drake's meme presentation as the three laughed and pointed. Poor Mill.
Lastly, the king of social media trolling, 50 Cent, even chimed in, adding his two cents and commentary on what was taking place in the funniest fashion. He even suggested that Drake had obviously been taking notes from him on how to properly troll an opponent to the point of no return.
It's safe to say Mill was definitely the center of comical relief for Drake's OVO Fest this year.
