Danny Brown & Clams Casino Team for "Worth It," Latest Adult Swim Single

It's surprising Clams Casino hadn't yet produced for Danny Brown, as both are responsible for some of the most boundary-pushing hip-hop over the past few years, but thanks to Adult Swim, the Detroit emcee and New Jersey beatmaker come together for "Worth It," which is available for free download.

"Worth It," the latest installment in the Adult Swim Singles series, finds Brown rapping over one of Clams' most experimental productions to date. A disparate array of bells, drums and static unfold organically into something of a beat, which Brown somehow navigates while sticking to his typical fast-paced, pitchy raps. Initially mildly disorienting, the mix grows increasingly fascinating upon repeat listens.

"Is it really worth it? / For fast cars and ice, do you wanna live that life? / Is it really worth it? / New girls every night, do you wanna live that life? / Is it really worth it?", Brown reflects on the chorus.

After releasing Old in late 2013, Danny Brown hasn't released an album or any singles, though he's been touring extensively. Late last year, he featured on Eminem's ode to the Motor City, "Detroit vs. Everybody," and he joined Action Bronson on "Bad News," off the GTA V soundtrack.

Earlier this year, the rapper made a surprising turn by announcing he was working on a Dr. Seuss-style childrens' book.

Most recently, Clams Casino produced three tracks on Vince Staples' excellent debut LP Summertime '06.
