Curren$y has surprised fans with a new mixtape, Cathedral, his third project of 2015. The seven track long release is entirely produced by New Orleans' Chase N Cashe.
Spitta reaffirms his status as one of the most consistent underground rappers, giving his devoted Jet Life following more music to enjoy (and light up to). Cathedral is the New Orleans rapper's third project of the year, following Pilot Talk III, his fifth studio album and Even More Saturday Night Car Tunes, the EP he put out a few weeks later, on April 20.
Curren$y surprise dropped the tape on Wednesday (Aug. 5), and it was apparently created just the day before that. The whole tape is produced by Chase N Cashe. From the sounds of it, they concocted a particularly productive recording session in N.O. on Tuesday. Cathedral has only one feature, R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn, who guests on "In the Night."
Cathedral finds Spitta Andretti telling telling gripping stories from a hazy, nostalgic frame of mind, thanks in part to the cinematic production from Chase N Cashe.
