In between working on The Tonight Show and recording a new album, the Roots have found time to plan their seventh annual Roots Picnic, which will take place on the Festival Pier at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia on May 31. Tickets go on sale March 7 at noon.
As Rolling Stone reports, the hip-hop/neo-soul group will perform two sets: one backing Snoop Dogg and one of their own. In a video announcement, Questlove revealed the festival's lineup which includes Janelle Monáe, the War on Drugs, Action Bronson, A$AP Ferg, Rudimental, AraabMuzik, Biz Markie (DJ set), Jhene Aiko, Bad Rabbit, Chill Moody, Emily Wells, Roman Gianarthur and Electric Wire Hustle and Just Blaze.
