If she wanted to, Britney Spears could continue her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood for a long time, but the "Pretty Girls" singer isn't sure whether or not she even wants to. Last night (Aug. 16), the 33-year-old pop star appeared at the Teen Choice Awards 2015 and admitted that she may not perform in Sin City past 2015.
In an interview with E! News, Spears said that she's "not really sure" if she's going to renew her lucrative contract at Planet Hollywood for the Britney: Piece of Me show.
"I haven't made up my mind. I really love doing the show. It's a lot, a lot of fun but I'm kind of torn right now. I don't really know what I want to do," she admitted.
Spears latest statements are in direct contrast to an interview she gave last year, when she said that she could and wanted to continue doing Piece of Me for several more years. Speaking to Good Morning Britain, Spears said that she was close to inking a deal for two more years, and reports indicated that she was close to inking a deal that kept her in Vegas until 2017.
"The way I used to travel all around the world and do a different show every night, I'm like, 'How did I do it?" she said. "Promotion is a different story, and going to a different city every day, like what I'm doing now, it's really hard. But being based in Vegas and having one show that you just keep going back to, the consistency of that is really grounding and really cool."
If Spears decides not to renew her contract with Planet Hollywood, he last show will be on New Year's Eve.
