Chris Brown has pulled some wacky stunts on social media, but this has got to take the cake. Last night, while in the dressing room, getting warmed up before "One Hell of a Nite" show; Brown put on a black wig and some circle-framed sunglasses and attempted his best impersonation of Detroit female emcee Dej Loaf. Whatever you think of his imitation skills, his "Try Me" rendition is definitely good for a few laughs. And while he was at it, he remained in costume for an impersonation of Ms. Foxy, who appeared in the A&E show Beyond Scared Straight.
Brown went on Instagram last night in his Loaf costume and attempted a mini performance of "Try Me," Loaf's breakout hit. The clip begins with an extravagant introduction as Brown readies the song by saying, "Y'all n*ggas ain't ready, Dej Loaf in effect." He then goes into "Try Me," overemphasizing Loaf's Detroit accent and the way she rhymes "Try Me" with words like "family" (pronounced "fom-ly"). He captioned the post, "no shade," making sure Loaf knew he was "just f*cking around."
Clearly, Dej Loaf didn't catch any shade from his impression, as she commented on Brown's post with multiple "laughing crying" emojis.

Brown's next Instagram post is another impersonation, still in the same get-up, of "Ms. Foxy," a transgender inmate (who's since been released) from Beyond Scared Straight. Brown must think his Dej Loaf wig looks similar to the hairstyle of Ms. Foxy. He finishes his impression with Foxy's signature "I was was waitin' for you at the door," quote and ensuing head-tilt, which have gone viral on YouTube.
Brown's "One Hell of a Nite" tour, with Kid Ink, Omarion, Fetty Wap & Teyana Taylor, goes through September 19. Check out dates here.
Dej Loaf is currently touring with Meek Mill, Rae Sremmurd and Tinashe as part of Nicki Minaj's "Pinkprint" tour, which finishes tonight (August 19) in Edmonton.
