It's no secret that Taylor Swift fans have close relationships and memorable encounters with the country-turned-pop star. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter is commonly known for two things, her relationship-inspired lyrics and her compassion towards her fans. Swift was even given the title of most charitable celebrity, having donated surplus amounts to fans with cancer, helping another fan pay off college loans and crafting care packages for the Swift-obsessed around the world. On Wednesday, she retweeted a video of a 7-year-old with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, Jacob Velazquez, playing a shocking six minute medley of songs assembled from her 1989 album. According to Velazquez's mom, Tina, he's able to recall and perform the hit tracks from his memory alone Billboard reports.
"I sometimes sit with him at the piano and call out track numbers from her most recent album. Jacob will play the song that corresponds, without ever being taught the music notes," his mother detailed on the AutismSpeaks.org, the website responsible for tweeting out the video.
Jacob Velazquez, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of four, held up a copy of 1989 in the video clip while saying "I'm your biggest fan and I hope you can sign this for me one day. I hope we can jam and I can play something for you and it goes something like this."
The young piano prodigy then launches into "Bad Blood," "I Know Places," "I Wish You Would," "Blank Space," "Welcome To New York," and "Shake It Off." Upon setting sight on the video, Swift retweeted it and invited him to a gig on her tour. While touring in support of 1989, Swift has brought out an eclectic group of friends and celebrities ranging from the U.S. Women's Soccer team to Victoria's Secret angels and actress Julia Roberts--perhaps Jacob Velasquez will be the next guest to hop on stage with Swift.
Swift often sends praise to fans and musicians alike who cover her songs, including Ryan Adams, who's tackled the album in its entirety with a Smiths-inspired sound and Kelly Clarkson, who delivered a powerful cover of "Blank Space."
