Da'dra Crawford Greathouse is Working on a Solo Project

Da'dra Crawford Greathouse, one-half of the Grammy-nominated and multiple Dove and Stellar Award-winning group Anointed, has announced that she is working hard on her first solo CD. The first track, "Arms Wide Open," is currently available at iTunes.

With producer Aaron Lindsey, a multi-Grammy, Stellar, and Dove Award winner who has worked with such superstars as Israel Houghton & New Breed, Marvin Sapp and Byron Cage, at the helm of this single, this project promises to be beyond amazing. The song, called and "uplifting, confessional, congregational anthem," which was inspired by a service at Joel and Victoria Osteen's Lakewood Church, where Greathouse serves as co-pastor of the worship team), is already gaining traction on iTunes.

In a press release, Greathouse explained the reason behind the new album, saying, "I am at a place where God is prodding me to record a new CD. I am currently in the process of writing songs for the new project and I am very excited!"

The fact that Da'dra is releasing anything is a miracle. Not too long ago, a routine visit to the doctor's office revealed a huge goiter on her thyroid that threatened her voice and her very life. A surgical procedure saved her life, but her doctors warned her that the chances of her ever singing with her full range again were slim to none. Greathouse worships a God of miracles and after two months of not being able to sing at all, her falsetto returned, and within six months she had full use of her incredible range and strength.

To celebrate God's faithfulness in her life, Greathouse says she feels compelled to use her voice to spread the Gospel . She has a full schedule of singing, writing and speaking during the coming months.
