VMAS 2015: The Weeknd Perform a Pitchy "Can't Feel My Face"

Opting for a simple black draped stage with orange smoke and shooting flames, The Weeknd performed his No. 1 hit single "Can't Feel My Face" at the 2015 MTV VMAs.

The rising artist needed to make a splash at the VMAs this year, but the performance might have been plagued by early pitch problems. People sounded off on Twitter as he failed to reach the song's highest note, opting instead to yell out "VMAs make some noise."

Jared Leto introduced The Weeknd (aka Abel Tesfaye) by inviting everyone to take off their pants for his sexy performance, as the 50 Shades Of Grey singer walked onto the stage.

His album, Beauty Behind The Madness, dropped Friday and is sure to make a lot of noise in the charts despite the slight hiccup during his live performance.

"Can't Feel My Face" has dominated the charts in the past 10 weeks spending a week at No. 1 only to be dethroned by OMI's "Cheerleader" this week.

The Weeknd was up for Best Male Video, the first award of the night, but the award went to "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars.

The Weeknd is just one of many performers at tonight's VMAs. He joins the likes of Nicki Minaj, Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Tori Kelly, Twenty One Pilots with A$AP Rocky and more.
