Justin Timberlake Responds to Kanye West's Grammy Comments, Dodges Crying Issue

During Kanye West's totally awkard, 10-plus minute Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech at the 2015 MTV VMAs, the rapper may have uncovered a sentimental experience for fellow musician Justin Timberlake. The "All Day" singer claimed that Timberlake shed a tear or two after not winning a Grammy Award back in 2007 when he lost to the Dixie Chicks for Album of the Year. Now, the "Mirrors" singer took to Twitter to comment on the claims.

Although Timberlake commented on West's point, he dodged the crying issue.

"I sat at the Grammys and saw Justin Timberlake and Cee Lo lose; Gnarls Barkley and the FutureSex/LoveSounds album. I ain't trying to put you on blast, but I saw that man in tears. He deserved to win Album of the Year," West announced to the Los Angeles crowd.

Taking to Twitter to respond to the remark, Timberlake wrote, "Kanye is so cute, y'all." The 20/20 experience singer later added, "Jokes, you guys... Jokes. #chill... Btw... I JUST watched my man 'Ye's FULL speech... He always has a point. And I support it. #truth"

As the lengthy, multi-topic and somewhat confusing speech continued, West explained his perplexity with award shows, which in turn, puzzled viewers as to why he was even there. "I still don't understand award shows. I don't understand how they get five people who work their entire life, won, sell records, sell concert tickets, to come, stand on a carpet and for the first time in their life, be judged on the chopping block and have the opportunity to be considered a loser."

According to Rolling Stone, Timberlake and Silence of the Lambs director Jonathan Demme will team up for a "space age concert film," focusing on the final Las Vegas show of the singer's 143 date 20/20 Experience world tour.
