Following up the 2014 break-out comedy, Neighbors, starring Zac Efron and Seth Rogen, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising will see a college-themed sorority sequel--this time dealing with the antics of the girls next door instead of Efron, Dave Franco and their prank-happy, drug-obsessed frat brothers. The entire gang is back for Sorority Rising and this time, they're being joined by Chloe Grace Moretz and one very unique cast member--Selena Gomez.
The "Good For You" singer was spotted filming for Sorority Rising in Atlanta, sporting a tight, ombre pink dress, loose curls and a sock-stiletto combination. Although the Gomez's involvement was kept under wraps with a lack of any announcement, few things can get past paparazzi. Other than the obvious storyline of feuding neighbors, further details concerning the film's plot have yet to be divulged, E! Online notes. What we do know is that all of the major cast members will return for the sequel along with the additions of Kiersey Clemons and Beanie Feldstein for the Nicholas Stoller-directed film.
The Neighbors ending scene reminds viewers that Zac's character, Teddy, did indeed graduate college but not without risk of working retail as a shirtless Abercrombie and Fitch model. Seth Rogen's character, Mac, joined Teddy for a quick dance off, signaling the end of their feud. This is where Sorority Rising comes into play. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chloe Grace Moretz will star in the film, most likely as the sorority's ring leader, keeping up with society's idea that all sorority girls are tall, thin and blonde. It appears that Gomez will act in a smaller role as a sorority sister, mostly because the singer has kept busy making music, attending the MTV Video Music Awards and having her namesake appear in Justin Bieber music videos.
We can totoally picture Gomez and Moretz going head to head, fighting for ultimate popularity among their peers. It's uncertain where the frat boys come into play--perhaps Mac and his wife Kelly enlist the help of their fellow feuders to take down the girls in all their glory.
