Eazy-E's daughter, Erin "E. B." Wright, has certainly grabbed everyone's attention in recent weeks, following the announcement of her forthcoming documentary, A Ruthless Scandal: No More Lies. Now Wright has decided to address rumors that Suge Knight caused the "Boyz-N-The-Hood" rapper's death by giving him AIDS.
Wright recently appeared on a segment of Dr. Zoe Today and spoke on the controversy surrounding her father’s death. When asked specifically about speculation that former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight orchestrated the N.W.A rapper’s death, Wright put those rumors to rest. She also claimed that despite a scene depicted in the film Straight Outta Compton, her father was not beat up by Knight.
“One of the most popular beliefs surrounding her father’s death is that Suge Knight administered HIV/AIDS to Eric Wright during a confrontation at a studio where Eazy-E was forced to sign over Dr. Dre,” The Source writes. “Dr. Zoe as her usual blunt self asked E.B. directly if she felt Suge had anything to do with the death of her father. Her answer was, no he did not. She said yes, her late father was forced to sign a paper and they had pulled guns out but Eazy was not beat up.”
During the interview, Wright also alluded to other rumors that AIDS was not, in fact, Eazy-E's cause of death. She told Dr. Zoe that A Ruthless Scandal is “definitely going to put a lot to rest and expose the truth.”
During a previous interview, Wright described her new film as "jaw-dropping," noting that it will bring up Eazy-E's death and what happened to his family afterwards. Wright, who is working on A Ruthless Scandal with her mother and sister, revealed on Twitter that the film is scheduled to be released next year. The film has reportedly been in the works since 2013.
Wright's latest interview can be found under the "Listen" tab in the free “Dr. Zoe Today” app available on the App Store and Google Play, as well as on DrZoeToday.com.
