Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and Kenny Jones Reunite The Faces After 40 Years [WATCH]

For the first time in 40 years, The Faces -- Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and Kenny Jones -- reunited for a 7-song set at a UK benefit concert supporting prostate cancer.

The Faces original lineup also included Ronnie Lane who died in 1997 and Ian McLagan, who died last year, according to Stereogum.

Stewart has been teasing a reunion for some time now, saying he'd be interested in new-recorded material as well as a full tour. However, guitarist Ronnie Wood has been busy the past few years playing for this little known group called The Rolling Stones. Now that the Stones' tour schedule is winding down and Keith Richard's solo project is ramping up, perhaps it's time Wood took some time to reunite with The Faces.

The Faces formed in 1969 when Stewart and Wood left The Jeff Beck Group to join up with the former band named Small Faces. A troubled U.S. tour in 1975 eventually resulted in the disbandment of the group as the members went on to work on their various projects. The title track from the group's final album, Ooh La La, ended up being one the most memorable tracks in The Faces' catalog.

"Ooh La La" was one of the seven tracks played at last night's reunion show alongside "I Feel So Good," "You Can Make Me Dance, Sing Or Anything," "I'd Rather Go Blind," "(I Know) I'm Losing You," "Sweet Little Rock & Roller" and "Stay With Me." Stewart has performed a number of these songs over the years at his solo shows or with Wood at select shows, especially the hit "Stay With Me," which has become one of Stewart's bigger songs. Still, it's refreshing to hear them with the original backing cast behind him, drummer Kenny Jones and all.

Check out fan videos from the performance and cross your fingers for new-recorded material sometime soon.
