One of Seattle largest electronic music festivals, Freaknight, has announced the main headliners who will perform at the 2015 edition. The lineup is led by Deadmau5 and Tiësto, with additional contributions by Nero, Diplo, Adventure Club, Carnage and Nicky Romero. Pete Tong will curate his own underground All Gone Pete Tong stage that has started to take over the United States festival circuit.
Freaknight will occur over Halloween weekend on Friday Oct. 30 and Saturday Oct. 31. Freaknight is put on by USC Events who also hosts other major EDM festivals and events in the Pacific Northwest such as Paradiso and Get Lucky on St. Patrick's Day.
There are more acts left to be announced to fill in the main stages and on the All Gone Pete Tong stage, so stay tuned for that information in the coming weeks. Halloween is less than two months away, so start thinking about your costume, as horrible as that sounds with summer seeming so fresh in our minds.
The 2014 edition of Freaknight was marred in the same problems that has plagued way too many EDM festivals. Day 2 last year was canceled after one man overdosed at the festival. Among those billed to perform in 2014 were Kaskade, Carl Cox, Alesso, Tiësto, Galantis, Dyro and others.
Freaknight has moved its location from Century Link Field, where the Seattle Seahawks play their football and Marshawn Lynch is still waiting for the handoff, to the Tacoma Dome, 30 miles south Seattle.
Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster starting at $200 plus fees for a two general admission pass. Head to Freaknight's website to purchase yours and get more information.
