Following the success of his single "Post To Be," Omarion announced his plans to release a new album. He talked about the album, to be named Reasons, during an interview with Vibe. In the course of his chat with the hip-hop magazine, Maybach O discussed his hit Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko assisted single.
"This is the biggest record that I’ve had to date," he said. "It was completely unexpected. I guess just showing up to work and always giving your best is really what it takes."
Building off the momentum of "Post To Be," Omarion revealed he's been working on his fifth studio effort.
"It’s titled Reasons and this is my fifth installment," Omarion said. "This is just a different body of work. This is me in my transformation phase coming off of 'Post To Be' and Sex Playlist. Sex Playlist was like the birth of creation. I think it’s my most important albums because prior to “Post To Be” and its success, a lot of people were sleep."
Fans can expect to hear contributions from James Fauntleroy as well as producers Knowledge, Anderson Park, Murder and Stereotypes.
The "Ice Box" singer released his Sex Playlist album back in December 2014. In June, he dropped "I'm Up" featuring Kid Ink and French Montana. No word on which, if any, project the song will be featured on.
Omarion currently appears on the recently premiered new season of VH1's Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood. He is also on the road with Chris Brown for the "Loyal" singer's One Hell of a Nite tour. The tour, which kicked off last month, features Fetty Wap, Kid Ink and Teyana Taylor as well.
Reasons is slated to be released on Oct. 23.
