Back in July, “Back to Back” rapper, Drake, was accused of using a ghostwriter by fellow rapper, Meek Mill, in his infamous Twitter rant that set in motion a rap beef of epic proportions. Fast forward to present day and Quentin Miller, Drake’s alleged ghostwriter appears to now be taking shots at him on a new track “Cease and Desist.” According to Vlad, some would say that it really looks that way despite Miller's earlier comments to the contrary that he is or ever was the “6 god’s” ghostwriter. However the rapper definitely raised some eyebrows in new track as fans accused him of taking shots at Drake.
In Miller’s new track, “Cease and Desist,” he takes aim at the industry along with Drake rapping, “gave these n****s some of the hottest songs of the year and I'm still underrated.”
Naturally, most listeners assumed that he was taking aim at the Toronto rapper as he was listed as a credited contributor on various songs off Drake’s last project. In an attempt to diffuse the situation before it snowballed into something larger, Miller took to Twitter to refute the allegation with a series of tweets.
In July, numerous reference tracks were leaked from IYRTITL such as Drake’s “10 Bands” with Miller on the track. This started a huge discussion amongst rappers and hip hop enthusiasts on the use of ghostwriting within hip hop which left many torn on the topic. It also started a war been Mill and Drake which spawned numerous records such as Mill’s “Wanna Know” and Drake’s “Charged Up” and “Back to Back” record which ultimately led to the Toronto rapper being declared the victor in the battle.
