'Pitch Perfect' Rebel Wilson and Boyfriend Mickey Gooch Jr. Breakup

There is something going around in Hollywood infecting precious couples left and right: relationship problems. This year alone has seen multiple breakups already and we haven't even reached the winter season yet. The latest couple to call it quits in 2015, is Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson and boyfriend Mickey Gooch Jr. After only dating for a few months, the two have reportedly decided to go their separate ways, according to Us Weekly.

The first reports of the 35-year-old Australia native dating director and producer, Gooch Jr., began circulating this May. Apparently, the two were introduced by mutual friends and would frequently make time to visit each other between Los Angeles and New York whenever their busy schedules allowed for down time. They were often see on each other's social media accounts in the early stage of their relationship.

"It's been hard for him," a source told Us about how much Gooch Jr. was affected by the split. "They're still friends, so you never know if they might get back together in the future."

The last time any evidence of the couple was seen on the funny woman's Instagram page was seven weeks ago, during their Mediterranean excursion. The couple took a quick "usie" while sightseeing in Barcelona, Spain. The couple set off on an European adventure in July where they explored some of the world's most beautiful locations including Rome, Italy, Ibiza, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai.

Although the Wilson and Gooch Jr. haven't ruled out the possibility of getting back together yet, sources told Entertainment Tonight that Wilson was the one who initiated the breakup, stating they would be better off in a platonic relationship.

"She ended it with him," a source told ET. "They got to the point where they both realized the attraction really wasn't there anymore and they would be better off as friends. Rebel told him she didn't want to continue with the relationship if she didn't see it moving any further than where it is now -- and Mickey agreed."

Luckily, the two ended on good terms and have reportedly agreed to stay friends. So, there's still a chance this might not be the last time we see the two comedians together.
