Lil Wayne recently stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! and sparked up a quite interesting conversation with Kimmel. While visiting the show, Weezy shared lighthearted, though occasionally scary, anecdotes about getting shot.
Weezy chopped it up about what he considers the most outlandish encounter he's had with a fan: an overzealous female once followed his tour bus and opened gunfire.
Here's what Wayne had to say:
"I've been shot at by a female fan. It was after a show and she was just very persistent. We didn't know what she actually wanted. It was a good thing we didn't figure it out."
According to Wayne, that was the least of his worries at the time. After the shots rang out, the bus driver began to swerve.
"We weren't paying them no mind. We was all hype, and we was dancin'," Wayne said. "We were more upset at him 'cause we was like, 'You gon' kill us.'"
And of course while on the subject of being shot, it was only right for Wayne to retell the infamous story of him shooting himself as a young teenager.
Weezy says he was watching The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Big Poppa" video and dancing in the mirror when the incident occurred. Although Wayne has had his share of run-ins with the law, he says the police actually saved his life that day.
"I gathered myself and I slid on my own blood. We had wooden floors, thank God, we ain't have no carpet," the YMCMB rapper told Kimmel. "And I used the floors and I slid on my blood and I kicked on the door, and they heard me kick on the door."
