Fan favorite, ginger-haired singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has detailed his new concert film Jumpers For Goalposts. Recorded during the "Thinking Out Loud" singer's three-night residency at Wembley Stadium in July, the concert film also incorporates footage of his duet alongside musical legend Elton John.
Jumpers For Goalposts not only focuses on the height of Sheeran's career but the build up to his success. A special cinema event for the film will take place at London's Leicester Square and will broadcast live to world-wide cinemas. Tickets for participating theaters will go on sale to the public on Sept. 24 while Sheeran is slated to perform at the exclusive Leicester Square event, NME notes.
The X singer recently launched his brand-new record label titled Gingerbread Man Records. Detailing the project back in March, the singer confirmed that his first signed songwriter was Jamie Lawson, describing her as an "incredible talent." Lawson's first self-titled release will drop on Oct. 9. In more recent times, Sheeran revealed that the venture will be a subsidiary of Warner Music.
"I'm extremely excited to be starting-up my own label," Sheeran previously said in a press release. "It's something I've been planning for some time. I've always loved endorsing acts from the very beginning and I get to work with artists I truly believe in."
Taking a plunge to the darker side, the "The A Team" singer has signed on for a role as a medieval knight in Kurt Sutter's latest television endeavor, The Bastard Executioner. The Sutter-Sheeran relationship sparked upon a tweet the singer wrote, expressing his appreciation for Sutters biker gang series, Sons of Anarchy. Since then, Sheeran recorded a soulful rendition of Joy Vance's "Make it Rain" for the series' second to last episode.
