Looks like Lil Wayne isn't the only YMCMB member having a run-in with the IRS. It has been reported that rapper Tyga owes nearly $100,000 in taxes.
According to a federal tax lien obtained by TMZ, Tyga owes $11,201 for 2009, $4,437 for 2010, and $76,008 for 2011, totaling $91,648.
Tyga recently opened his brand new L.A. clothing store, Last Kings. He furnished the place with a $20,000 Egyptian tomb.
He spent around $120,000 decorating his new spot. The funds went towards painting the store's ceilings like the Sistine Chapel, buying other Egyptian-style decor and he even had sand imported from Egypt.
Earlier this month, TMZ got hold of a tax lien for Lil Wayne that states the rapper owes nearly $12 million in taxes.
Wayne failed to pay taxes for 2011 and 2012 and the YMCMB rapper reportedly owes $5,843,952 for 2011 in addition to $6,311,132 for 2012.
But this is nothing new for Wayne. TMZ says that Weezy paid off a previous tax debt in 2012. The rapper also had some legal issues that year.
Wayne paid off a $7 million debt for his 2008-2009 taxes and lost a case against Quincy Jones' son after thumbing his nose at the court in 2012. A jury ordered Wayne to pay $2.2 million.
Lil Wayne is reportedly worth $135 million.
Rappers and taxes just don't mix. Hope evading taxes isn't what they're teaching these guys over at YMCMB. We'd hate for anyone to end up like MC Hammer.
