12 Years a Slave Oscar Award winning actress Lupita Nyong'o has quickly become a fan favorite since her debut role in the hit film and her exquisitely beautiful sense of fashion never seems to disappoint. Her most recent fashion style and beauty was captured in the October issue of Vogue where the star is featured on the cover photo and in additonal spreads. These photos are stunning!
One Nyong'o Twitter fan put it best with this tweet and caption:
People reported on why Vogue chose to feature the 32-year-old break out star in their October issue for her second cover, and the decision has everything to do with her fashion and style. In 2014, Nyong'o graced the July issue of the magazine "posed in a purple printed cutout Prada dress" that wowed readers and fashionistas. This year, she's even more regal in gold, red Fall couture and flawless makeup.
Vogue sat down to talk fashion, Oscars and future projects with Nyong'o and tells how she has an "old-school attitude to fashion," as she referred to pants as "slacks." Nyong'o agreed, revealing how she has the soul of an 80-year-old woman.
As the newest face of Lancôme, she is definitely soaring to new heights in her career, and she is managing to do it flawlessly. Nyong'o tells Vogue how her mother has played a huge role in her sense of self and style, and in Kenya, where the actress was raised, the way you present yourself is king.
"Presentation is extremely important in Kenya. You dress formally. You can't just wear flip-flops," she told Vogue. "My mother always had her own style. She wore A-line, tea-length flowery dresses, very well fitting. Her nails were always perfectly done."
