After being given a clean bill of health and a proclamation of being a "bullet proof b*tch" from her doctor, Ariana Grande has resumed her Honeymoon tour, making a stop in Houston to perform a rendition of Justin Bieber's hit track, "What Do You Mean?"
Bieber's song is currently holding down the Number 1 slot in Britain and fans have been quick to compare the track with Ariana Grande's smash hit "One Last Time," which was featured on her 2014 LP, My Everything, NME notes. Grande performed the track during her Houston gig at the Toyota Centre on September 18 and also took to Instagram to post a short teaser clip of the mash-up. "Rehearsinggggg a lil sum to add to the show today #honeymoontour," she wrote next alongside the video.
The pop diva provided her wide-range vocals to the live mash-up performance, nailing every high note with her powerhouse sound. Although Justin Bieber was no where in sight, Grande's cover of the track isn't the duo's first collaboration with one another. In April, the Canadian super star shocked the crowd out Grande's Miami gig with a special appearance. The two executed a duet on Grande's "Love Me Harder" and Bieber's own "Where Are U Now" and "As Long as You Love Me," People notes.
In less than a week, 21-year-old Bieber broke a Spotify record as his hit single streamed over 21 million times, beating out One Direction's surprise, NASA-based track, "Drag Me Down." Bieber delivered a sensitive performance of "What Do You Mean?" last month at the MTV Video Music Awards, which ended in overwhelming emotion and tears. Grande, however, unveiled her latest perfume "passion project," while she continues along her string of gigs for the Honeymoon concert tour.
