Hold your horses before you start getting those "Free Tyler" shirts printed. The Odd Future rapper was released from jail on bond.
Tyler, The Creator was released from an Austin jail Saturday (March 15) on a $25,000 bond. The rapper was arrested earlier that day on charges of inciting a riot.
Music Times previously reported that the Odd Future frontman encouraged people to bust into a club that was already at capacity.
He was arrested in connection with a riot incident that occurred on Thursday (March 13) at the Scoot Inn.
It has been reported that after the building's 999 person capacity was reached, Tyler, The Creator encouraged fans to still make their way into the club.
"Just run in right now. Do it, let's go," Tyler reportedly said. His encouragement caused fans to push through the doors of the venue moving past employees, creating a potentially dangerous situation for employees and concertgoers.
Authorities released a statement saying, "Specifically, the subject encouraged a large crowd on more than one occasion to force themselves past venue employees controlling access at the venue which was already at full capacity."
Upon his release, Tyler took to Twitter to speak on the incident and differentiate his arrest incident from the drunk driver incident that took place Wednesday.
Here's what he had to say:
"Dear You, That Tragedy That Happened Has Absolutly NOTHING To Do With The Show At Thrasher At A Different Location A Day Later - T. So Please Stop Going Out Of Your Way To Mention The Tragedy And Tie Me To It, Thats Not Cool And It Bums Me Out."
Wednesday's drunk driving incident took three lives and left 23 others injured.
