Drake, Future 'What A Time to Be Alive' Aiming for No. 1 Album in the U.S.

On Sunday two of the biggest rappers in hip-hop today, teamed up to drop one of the hottest collaborative projects of the year. It looks like their hard work paid off because Drake and Future are projected to have a huge opening week for What a Time to be Alive. This continues a big winning streak for Drizzy, whose other mixtape If You're Reading this Its Too Late topped the charts at the beginning of the year.

The unlikely pairing of Drake and Future is slated to yield massive results for the dynamic duo. Rap Up reports that the pair are right on trend for WATTBA to snag the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for its opening week. Sources say that they are set move to as many as 500,000 units this week alone. This is familar for Drake, who moved 535,000 units back in February for IYRTITL, making him the top hip-hop act with the largest opening week in 2015 thus far. If the duo reach 500,000 units they are set to exceed Kanye West and Jay Z's Watch the Throne back in 2011 which moved 433,000 units in its first week.

This is also big news for Future, who has seemingly hit his stride this year. His latest album Dirty Sprite 2 also started at No. 1 after moving a 147,000 units in its first week. Now it appears that not even three months after achieving the huge milestone, Drake and Future are set to do it again with the success of WATTBA.
