Against Me! and Arca begin the week with terrifying music videos. Don't say we didn't warn you.

We're only two days into the work week, and we've already got two new and seriously creepy music videos on our hands. The first came on Monday, and when we thought we were mildly disturbed, the music world one-upped itself on Tuesday. Check out what we saw on Monday, and if it doesn't bother you around bedtime tonight, progress to number two. But don't say we didn't warn you.

MONDAY: "Black Me Out" by Against Me!

Those familiar with Against Me! won't be too surprised to hear about grotesque mutilation in the band's music video for "Black Me Out." After all, the album cover for Transgender Dysphoria Blues features a deep chunk of human nipple. This video operates from a strict two-dimensional perspective, so we only witness paper figures getting done in. Still, the doing-in is intense. Paper teeth are removed, fingers are separated from hands, and a knife appears to enter the human genital region. All cases are accompanied by waves of black-ink blood.

The good news is that it's still Against Me! music. Pop punk doesn't set a particularly intimidating mood, and Laura Jane Grace's vocals don't merit fear quite like N. Imperial's.

TUESDAY: "TRAUMA" by Arca

Part of the dark nature on Kanye West's Yeezus can be attributed to electronic music producer Arca. Things have gotten darker still as he teamed up with filmmaker Jesse Kanda to release a 2:17 video for the track "TRAUMA." Remember how that '90s dancing baby was creepy, even if the intent was humorous? Now take three of those babies, squash their heads, adjust their anatomical correctness and remove their genitals, and BOOM. This video. The music isn't scary and there's no lyrics. But we wouldn't mind. Anything to distract us from the dancing babies.

Sure, the video is only 2:17. But this is only the first scene of a much longer experimental project by the pair. Things can't get any worse, but it getting better doesn't seem promising either.

God, we hope Wednesday's music videos are all kittens and flowers.
