After dissing Drake and Future's buzzworthy mixtape What A Time to Be Alive, Meek Mill has decided to release a project of his own. He recently announced his Dreamchasers 4 mixtape and previewed some of its songs on Instagram.
On Tuesday (Sept. 22), Meek posted a series of videos with snippets of the tracks from the fourth installment of his Dreamchasers series of mixtapes. As noted by HipHopDX, Meek seems to address his beef with Drake in a video captioned, "Eating breakfast on a jet!"
In the clip, he raps, "I made an M in a week, but they tell me I took an L, b*tch where?"
Meek's first Dreamchasers mixtape was released in 2011. The most recent installment, Dreamchasers 3, was released in 2013.
This summer, Meek Mill released his sophomore album, Dreams Worth More Than Money. The July release debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and remained in the top spot for two weeks. The album reportedly sold more than 500,000 copies in that span of time.
DWMTM featured the Drake-assisted track "R.I.C.O.," which Meek later claimed the Toronto rhymer allegedly used a ghostwriter for. In a series of tweets, the MMG rapper blasted Drizzy for relying on the help of Quentin Miller, who is a credited songwriter on Drake's team. He also claimed that Drake did not support his album because it was revealed that he did not, in fact, write his verse.
