This past Wednesday (Sept. 23), FOX aired the highly anticipated opener for its hit series Empire. Taylor Swift wanted everyone to know that she was watching and hoped they would be, too. She promoted Season 2 of the series on Twitter and even gave a shoutout to Taraji P. Henson.
In her Twitter promo, Swift also put in a word for cast member Serayah Love, who appeared in her video for "Bad Blood." The tweet received responses from both Love and Henson, who declared herself and Swift to be "BFF's" and added "I just adore you!"
The Empire writers staff also replied to Swift, thanking her for the support.
The new season of Empire has already gotten off to a captivating start as Lucious (Terrance Howard) finds himself behind bars and his family continues to battle each other for control over the company.
Kelly Rowland: is set to appear
Despite the seemingly continuous addition of celebrity roles on the show, Daniels asserted that he does not want the show's guest stars to overshadow the primary plot.
"I find that the more celebrities, the more stars I put on this show, the more it takes away from the family," Daniels said, referencing the Lyon clan. "The family, the family, the family is the most important thing."
Episode one of Season 2 featured guest appearances by Marisa Tomei, Reverend Al Sharpton, CNN's Don Lemon and former RHOA star Miss Lawrence.
This season of Empire will expand to 18 episodes from season one's modest 12, structured in two halves with a major cliffhanger between. In case you missed it, check out our recap of "How The Cookie Crumbles" here.
